do two boys mean double trouble?? i have a 3 yr old unneutered yorkie boy. he is very good with using wee wee pads and going outside. accidents are minimal. we are thinking of getting another male dog. probaly a morkie or yorkie. so many people say they will have a pee pee contest all over my house. is this always true??? am i doomed to tinkle torture if i have two males?? |
I have 2 male, Foofy is 6 months and Chewy is 3 months old, they both aren't quiet trained yet. Yes they pee and poop all over the kitchen if i don't let them out on time and i can't tell who did what/when. But i noticed that Chewy learning is much more accelerated than Foofy b/c he watches what Foofy does then follows. I love having 2 male...they are so much fun:p |
Wondering I was wondering the same thing. I eventually want another dog but being that lex is not neutered I am sure that will cause a problem with marking and generally trying to out man each other. Good luck...let me know how it goes. It will help when I do have the money for another and have to make that decision. |
i need some advice. i'm really unsure about 2 males in my house. |
what i did I'm getting my second male in a week. i was worried a bout this too. I asked the breeder to neuter him before he comes and my put I'm going to neuter next week. I'm hoping that may cut down on some of that behavior before it gets out of hand. suz |
Neutering is the place to start always IMO. But, still if the one already in your home is not trained, I would say "YES" there will be double the trouble. Confinement to a room with no carpet and belly bands when you take them out might help in the meantime.. |
I have 2 boys in my house and am having a "great" time.. haha... Tootie is the baby and has decided to mark where the older one has been. My older one is 14 and has accidents in his sleep sometimes and tootie thinks it is ok to follow his pattern. I ordered belly bands for both of them today, we will see if that helps! Tootie will be fixed tomorrow so maybe that will help. d |

I don't have two yorkies, but my male didn't start marking/hiking his leg until after he got neutered. I have no idea where he learned this, but I can see it being a problem when I get another dog. |
