On the local news, there was a news article for housebreaking using the bell method. Here's the link: Pet Chime I found it pretty hilarious. :D |

However I made mine with some ribbon, bells and key-rings from Jo-Ann Fabrics for about $4. I just stitched loops and then put the bells (4 sets to make it louder) on the key rings and attached them to the loops. |

I had the SAME exact problem with my Sadie. She was constantly ringing the bell and NOT because she needed to go...she just likes being outside. Since I live in an apartment, I have to go out with her, and that gets really OLD! The bell didn't last long for us...now I just try to get her outside before she has to go, otherwise it's the pad for her! |
Yep, I'm "belled" trained, too, right now! :D Tinka is 5 months and she is working on learning to use it. I'm thinking the bells are too small, so may get larger ones - just hope the cats don't start playing with them! omega |
i just checked out the poochie-pets site. they are so :cool88: ! i ordered one with an additional ribbon. Erin, thanks for mentioning them! omega :thankyou2 |
Parker was driving us crazy with potty training, Now he is doing great. I ordered the poochie bells and he caught on within 3 days. I do still keep a pee pad down, because if its raining he hates to go outside. He is doing great with them he is 5 months old. but I got them when he was 4months old. they are really cute too.... I would get them for sure and use this method. I would ask him if he had to potty at first, then I would go over and ring the bells, he would jump and get all excited then ring them him self. He would go out side and as soon as he pottied, I would make a big deal and say good boy and give him a cherrio. Now he rings the bells his self, and boy when he is done pottying, he runs over for his cherrio. It didnt take him long and I thought he would be impossible. Good Luck |
