Training not going so well! When I put him in his crate at night, no problems, no accidents. During the day he pees and poops about every 45 minutes, even when he had nothing to eat or drink. I know that you have to be consistent with training a puppy but how can I do that when I have no signs of him needing to go at all? And with the frequent peeing and pooping, how can I train him to go on the pad? |
Take him to his pad! If you KNOW he's going every 45 minutes, then take him to his pad every 45 minutes, and use some key words, like "go potty" or something along those lines! You are bound to catch him at a time when he needs to go and he will and then you praise praise PRAISE!! Keep it up! You seem to have the night half of the battle accomplished!! Patience, hang in there!!:p |
The problem is, I have a 2 year old that is a hand ful and I can't attend to Buttercup every 45 minutes. Is there a way or something I can do so he can hold it a little longer? Like maybe 1 1/2 or 2 hours? |

I agree, when you are unable to keep a close eye on him, don't allow him the run of the house. |
