what do use for training treats?? Any suggestions for training treats that I can take with me? I know clicker training books suggest meats BUT if I am traveling...I worry about the meat going bad. For example, I am picking up my dog on Saturday (10hour drive). I want to start training right away. I dont' want to keep meat in my pocket for 5-10hours. I also want to give treats for housebreaking and don't want to run to the fridge or keep the meat out n the table or in a baggy. suzie |
Gus will work for any treat. He's not too picky. He really loves his yorgurt dromps. And will do almost anything for them |
I use beef bites and she also loves peanut butter treats and cheese. |

The beef bites i was talking about come in a package and need no refridgeration. I got them at the pet store. Good luck with your new baby! |
i use honey nut cheerios for training lexi, really works cause she really loves them. i only give it to her while training.... |
We use small pieces of cheese and lunchmeat. |
I use Cheerios or Honeycomb cereal. They are both easy to take with you too. |
I cut up Pupperoni into little bits. Pixie loves 'em. Every now and then she'll get sick of the Pupperoni (she'll take it from me then just spit it out on the floor!) so then I'll use Cherios or Chex or bits of cheese for a while, then I'll go back to the Pupperoni..... |
