Potty training question My little girl seems to understand the pee pads well enough, but sometimes pees or poops near one of our doors. She never barks to let us know she has to go out. She never gives us any clue at all that she wants to go out. How can we teach her to let us know? She's about 5 months old right now, fyi. |
I would put the pad near the door where she likes to go. Once she is using it regularly, then remove it and maybe you will find her looking for it or she will whine when she is looking for it. |
hmm you might want to teach her to ring a bell everytime she needs to go out. try to get her on a bathroom schedule so you can take her to the bell by the door when you know she needs to go before she actually does. It is good she is going by the door, and if you don't want to try the bell method maybe a doggydoor would work? |
I'll try those things... :-) I wish I could let her go in and out whenever she pleased.... but the yard isn't fenced in. :-/ |
