Pooping issue My baby is three and a half months old. She knows to pee on the wee wee pad, but she iwll not poop on it, no matter what. She will poop all over the house. i don't know what to do. When i see her about to go, and pick her up and put her on teh wee wee pad she will not go, she will walk aroudn teh house and than again poop somewhere else. Please help, any advice will be great. Second question: I have to leave her at home for a good portion fo the day becuase both my husband and I work, and I also go to school full time. The vet told me to keep her in a crate or a play pen, or a gated area. She is fine in the play pen at night, but during the day i keep her in my kitchen. Is that fine? Or should i let her roam around the house and become mroe independent? |
We have had good results with our two-year-old Linnois, with the "scented" pads from the store. They are supposed to have an "attractant". http://webhome.idirect.com/~stelex/s...potty-pads.jpg |
When you see that she is looking around and she HAS TO pooh and you bring her to the pad do NOT let her off the pad until she poops (even if you sit there for an hour) because when you just give up and let her off the pad without her doing her buisness then she's never going to learn and she's going to poop where she wants to. Have you ever thought about taking her outside to do her buisness? I found that my youngest yorkie Bella hit a point where she did not want to use her pee pads anymore and just wanted to go outside with Ruby to do her buisness. Also I think confining her to your kitchen is a good idea when your not home especially when she's not house trained. Good luck! :) |
