And try having her on a schedule for walks...I went by the rule about an hour for every month old, up to a certain extent, of course. It'll take some time. Just take long walks with her, because it takes some moving and time to find the right place to poop. :)
If you're going to be away a while, have a room that can be just hers. I used my bathroom for Bailey, and put his toys, food and bed in there. They won't mess up what they consider their space, which is also how crate training works. It is a God send.
But mostly it takes a lot of perseverance and patience. I thought I'd never have Bailey housebroken, and he still totally isn't at 9 months, but it's a process. You just have to remember...they're tiny dogs with tiny bladders to match. |
