As a rule of thumb for any dog, take her outside after she eats or drinks or after a couple of hours even if she doesnt have to potty just to give her the notion that being outside is fun time, even if its only for 10 mins at a time or so.. Do this routinely.. Put simple words with the action, "go outside??" or "go potty?" will train them to those words.. When shes outside tell her to "go potty" and reward the behavior if she does go potty outside but dont make a big fuss if she potties in the house tho one sharp "No!" will suffice.. And redirect her back outside when she does. Treat her with something very yummy (but healthy) when she comes back in and tell her "good girl".. Actions to dogs speak louder than words.. If yours is very small like mine, dont leave her alone out there... Its a very big world out there to them as small as they are.. I hope this was helpful :) |
