matese | 10-27-2018 06:51 AM | A 10 week old puppy is a wild child with very razor sharp teeth, life is new to them, all they want to do is run wild, wrestle and play till they they drop lol. Make sure your 2.5 yo has a safe place to get away from this little terror, a place where wild child cannot reach her.
The deed is done but I do have to say this because other new members may read this thread.
Where ever / who ever you bought this wild child from should have kept wild child with the mother and litter mates until she was at least 12 weeks old. In this time the momma is teaching her babies bite inhibition what is to hard of a bite and is unacceptable. In this time puppies interact with each other play and wrestle, litter mates also teach each other what is to rough in play and hard biting is not acceptable.
Now you have wild child and you have to play the momma and teach this baby hanging off the tail of her big sister is unacceptable. Do not fret to much about your older gal, they will set the ground rules and in the end they will be BFF. |
