Does every accident reset the training process? I think i read somewhere a very long time ago that maybe I misinterpreted, if my puppy is doing really well 90% of the time with her potty training...does one accident reset all that? I am trying to crate train my pup but sometimes she pees in her crate if i ran out of the room to wash my hands. Outside of the crate she has no accidents |
If it is a constant thing then restarting potty training is advised, for a once in a while accident it's not necessary. These wee lil babies have small bladders and can't hold their urine for a long time so they go where they are. Hey, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go lol |
If she is pottying in the crate it’s to big. |

Yeah I noticed that I bought a crate meant for an adult lab/golden...i wanted her to have a big place to lay down and run around in...major mistake...now she permanently sees it as a place to potty...:( She sees my bed as her "den"...she would go and organize blankets into a tiny little alcove in the corner ...she sleeps with me every night and never has an accident in bed. In fact i can leave her on the bed for 15 minutes at a time to cooking and clean the house and never worry about her soiling it. If I put her in the crate for even 2 minutes, she pees/poop instantly. She doesn't do it anywhere in the house! This would be a dream come true if the crate was actually a place to potty lol |
