What do you use while showering your dog? |
I use just my hands, and when near the face, I use one hand to direct the water away from my little girl's eyes. You can also use a washcloth when working around the face. I use a small comb to keep the hair away from my little girl's eyes. I use very good quality shampoos and conditioners. I usually use a puppy shampoo just for the face, but not all of them are non-irritating to the eyes. This is a link for one of the combs I use. It's the Madan Mustache Comb, and it's really wonderful. Jenny, the owner of the business, is a YT member, and her customer service and prices are excellent. She gives YT members a 10% discount. I also recommend Madan brushes, as well. https://www.toplinepet.com/combs.php http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=42012 ETA: I just realized you are not in the U.S. I'm sure you can find something similar. I really like Madan and Chris Christensen brushes and combs, but Madan is much more affordable than CC. |
I doubt that mitt you advertised above would work so well on what you called a "minnie yorkie" in your earlier threads or any small dog for that matter. We just use our hands to wash our pups. That mitt would be nice to use on big dogs. :) |

I use my hands and also a small soft meshy bath ball for the hairless areas and paws. For the face I use a facecloth. |
Looking for advise: I have a 4 month old yorkie and I am using baby shampoo since it does not harm a baby's eyes please let me know if I should use something different I know this is gentle and don't want to use anything that I do not know won't hurt her eyes but I am still new at this she is my first yorkie and I want to make sure I am doing it right. |
