PeePad Success ! Hello all! I am new to YT and this is my first post, I don't have a question so much as I am a very proud mama this morning. My little Lily started getting used to the pee pads for her peeing about a week ago but still wouldn't poo on them! but this morning was her first time voluntarily choosing the pee pad to poo on! I do expect accidents but I'm just really happy its starting to click for her! She's also doing well with sit, come, and stay at 7 weeks. (I know I have her young the breeder passed and her daughter didn't find herself capable or knowledgeable enough to care for any of the puppies so I have had her since she was 5 weeks.) |
Yay! Good job Lily. I have two 4 month old brothers and one goes on the pad while the other will hold it and go outside, but they both poo poo on the pad. I don't understand Bruno's thinking of having to go out instead of the pad. I will take it though I would rather have pee pee outside any day. |
pee pad success Congrats Did you have to switch pads? Some are scented with a ammonia that helps attract the dog. Welcome to YT We look forward to your photos and friendship. Kathy |

I know our product has a back splash around it, so the dog has to physically "go inside" to potty. I have customers that tell me they place potted plants around their potty / potty pads (if using) to keep the pup in place. That might help her take aim. When I used to use puppy pads, Jazz, would try to find a dry spot to "go" if the pad was even slightly wet, she would go next to it. Your little girl is doing great! Thank you! |
