Help!! Sammi is doing pee pee on my bed!! Ever since we got Sammi spayed and she had her hernia repaired (Same day, 7/19) she has been doing pee pee on our bed in the middle of the night...Could it be because she is upset over the surgery and doing it on spite? I bought some NO-GO spray, hopefully it will work Any advice?? Thanks!! Fran |
I bet that for a week or so after having her surgery that it was painful to jump down OFF the bed and much easier to just go ON the bed.....and of course, now the smell is there. HOPEFULLY, the NO-GO Spray will do the trick. If it doesn't, try putting a pee pee pad on the bed for a few nights and then moving the pad to the floor......Good luck! Higgins has his good weeks when all the pee goes outside....and then there are days......Mostly he poops in the house in the morning, faster than you can follow him around to pick it up, the little devil! |
Have you taken her out to pee-pee just before bedtime? Perhaps try and put a pee-pee pad on a tray of some sort level to the bed. That way she can choose to go there if she really needs to go in the middle of the night... |
Is Sammi crate trained? You might just try her in the crate with a wee wee pad? I tend to agree that it is probably too painful to jump down. Perhaps a little stool or some flat cushions at different heights to make it a lot easier to get down? We don't allow Toto to jump off the bed or sofa without a little bench which we keep at the foot of our bed and I keep two little flat cushions in front of the sofa for her. Those little knees can pop out so we don't want to take any chances!! ;) |
Max would be no help at all I agree with the pad on the bed....they are sensitive to pain and that alone would immobilize them for awhile. Max would be no help....just today, I took him to Petsmart for dog food...within 1 minute of entering the store, he lifted his little leg on the big feet of a Boxer......had to clean up the floor and the dog.....THEN...a roofer was giving us an estimate this afternoon and Max marked the man's shoe.....Then I walked over to our new neighbor who was standing out in the yard.....I took Max as an ice breaker, friendly neighbor to neighbor kind of thing and he hunched up and delivered a 4 inch poop right in front of her in her yard! I was so embarrassed....he has been an elimination factory all day. If he wasn't so darn cute, sweet, loveable, loyal and huggable....he would be out of here!   |
:D That is tooo funny!! I would really like to know what causes these "little darlings" to do things like that! Toto gets the Border Collie's frisbie and pees in it every chance she gets! Guess she figures ... these things can also be used for water bowls so why not? ;) |
