Running out of ideas!
 

No matter what we do, Lexi always manages to find a way to escape. We started with the kitchen blocked off using the 3 feet tall Iris x-pen panels. This worked for a while until she realized she can climb up and over. The I tried using zip ties to cover the inside of the panels with plastic mesh fencing with very small holes and that worked for about a week until she figured out how to climb that. Then I hot glued poster board on the inside of the panels so she had nothing to climb and she figured out how to push the panels and slide out the side. Just today my husband set up a nice area in our basement with the x-pen panels and connected them to the walls so she couldn't push it down. We set up the camera and started driving to Walmart. 5 minutes down the road I watch her run and jump, and grab onto the top of a panel and pull herself over! The only other thing I can think of now is to hot glue some cardboard to extend the panels up a couple feet and HOPE she doesn't find some way to get out. I'm hoping she can't jump up 5 feet! Starting to feel defeated, but hoping we can figure something out. I hate putting her in her crate when we leave.

Extending the panels inward toward the pen-side should defeat jumping/climbing attempts but how you could achieve that with your set-up is hard to know. Fence jumping/climbing dogs are usually finally defeated with extended, inward-leaning panels at the top of the fencing.

Yeah, not sure if that would work with our set up, but thanks for the tip. Hopefully just extending it straight up will do the trick, but she is persistent. We like to call her american ninja warrior puppy!
