Thanks! I already got a harness for Onyx but even though it's an extra-small size, it's still too big for him! Haha. Now my biggest concern is leaving him in the exercise pen twice a week alone for 4-5 hours. FYI: I live in a condo and use the dining area to gate Onyx in as his exercise pen. NO table and no chairs inside. He seems to be catching on with puppy pad training. YAYYYYYY. Crate: We leave his crate in my room at night time to sleep. During the day time I leave his crate in the exercise pen. My concern: HIM BARKING in the pen when I leave! He seems attached to me. When I hang out with him in the pen (because he seemed really scared of it at first), he stands right by my feet. When I leave, he cries and barks. I ignored it so he would stop crying but I don't know how often I can let him bark for that long since I live in a condo building. Any suggestions to calm him down while I am gone? I leave ALL his toys, chew toys, food bowl, water bowl, bed, and my shirt (for my scent) in the pen. thank you!!!! |

I wondered about this so I set up the video camera i used to have in my son's room and saw that she barked for a few minutes and then layed in her crate to go to sleep. |
Yup! Thanks. Already got a harness for him. :) Crate training is almost complete. He goes on his own for naps. Doesn't cry at night unless he has to pee. He does want to play though so we firmly keep placing him back at the door of the crate so he walks in on his own. After 20 times or so, he gets the point and crawls back in and sleeps. Haha. He's so cute. :) Thanks everyone for the advice and comments! Really really appreciate it! |
