Brushes Ok so I have been looking online for the right kind of brushes/combs to buy my new little one. Right now her hair is thickish and soft and a slicker brush seems to work just find on it, mind you I wouldn't want to use that around her face. Anyway, what type of brushes/combs do you suggest I get? If you could post pictures that would help me out immensely as I think my biggest problem is I know some names but have no idea what it looks like. Thanks in advance! We love our Madan pin brushes from Jenny at www.toplinepet.com Madan also has a mustache/leg comb and a rat tail comb that are big tools in our grooming arsenal. In addition, I like the Isinis brush: Amazon.com: ISINIS Large Cushioned Hair Brush... We also use wood pin, boar bristle, and the Les Pooches finishing brush. (these are when I am feeling up for extra work). |
Sounds like I have a lot to learn where grooming is concerned! At least they start out pint size and their fur grows in slowly so I can learn lol |

I really like the bass small oval brush to groom Leroy and Evie. Leroy has hair that's on the thinner side and Evie has lots of hair and it works great for both of them. I got it from Cherrybrook. I haven't tried any others so I cannot say how it compares to others. For the mustache and hairs near the eye area I use a little comb which I don't know the brand off. Here a link to the bass brush, BASS Wire Pet Groomers - Cherrybrook |
