Peeing ALOT! ? I got my yorkie Piccino 1-2-14 he is 9 wks old but is peeing like CRAZY! can someone tell me why this is? For example....he peed on the floor so we took him out, he peed 3 times outside we bought him in and he peed again, took him out he peed once, bought him in and he peed AGAIN! That all happened within like 10- 15 minutes and it is driving us nuts ! Any thoughts, suggestions? |
I would have him checked by the vet. This can be a sign of infection. He is very young and that age doesn't have much control over his bladder (I wouldn't expect a 9 week old to be outdoor trained), but this sounds excessive. |

Is there any other signs of a possible infection? What would or could cause an infection at his age? |

There are often not any other symptoms, but sometimes the color of the urine will be dark or super light. It may also have an abnormal odor. How long have you had your puppy? Did this just start happening? No matter what, excessive peeing is not normal and should be checked by a vet. Is he drinking excessively too? How are his poops? Eating? Is he active? |

Could it be that you are catching him in the act when in the house and he shuts is pee stream off and than resumes again an again each time. Pups at that age like to wonder around for the perfect spot to potty. So if this is all happening in a 15 min time span my guess would be that he just isn't finished. Or a urinary track infection (UTI).. You are welcome to view my techniques on potty training if you like. I've trained all my pups using the same thing and I've had great success. www.dawnsyorkies.weebly.com/training-tips |

You are welcome . . I would have him seen by your vet just to be sure that it isn't an infection of any sort. |
