obsessive urination in 3 yr old My dear "Cash" has developed a problem I have never experienced in my long history with having Yorkies...He will urinate at least twice an hour...I thought it was marking..but it is an amount as in normal urination...I have only one recourse to "diaper" him ...anyone experience this? |
To the vet, sounds like a urinary tract infection |
I don't know what to say about him, but my Libby has a problem too. She is also 3. Yes, she is likely to have an accidnent at times, but when we have company, it seems she is so excited that she pee's and pee's AND pee's!!! DRIVES me crazy! When we know someone is coming, we will take her out multiple times and she will do her pee. BUT when they come, it is like she can't control herself! AND she REALLY pee's! I wonder how she can have that much in her! wierd! Don't know what to do about her. As soon as they leave, she is fine again. |
I will visit the vet about "Cash" condition..my husband and I thought maybe it was due to fact I started putting a diaper on because the rugs were in terrible condition and have had them cleaned and hope to avoid that expense |

If it is a 'normal' amount of urine every time, then that also means he is excessively drinking. That can be a cardinal sign of Cushings disease. Does he have any other symptoms, even random unrelated ones? Like, excessive hunger, pot belly, weight gain, lethargy, fur loss, infections, skin issues, hind leg muscle wasting...anything? Also, needs to be checked for diabetes. |
