Potty training I picked up my new baby Roxy on the 20th of December. She amazed us with her peeing on the pad...never missed actually. This lasted about 3 days. Now she pees on the floor constantly and poops either on the floor or the rug at the door...why is it that she regressed? Help plz |
We are going through the same thing! Lilah was great using the pad, then suddenly went anywhere but the pad. |
Same we thought this was weird behavior for 3 days straight now Yoshi peed and pooped on the pad. He got really excited and expected a treat. Then we took him to the vet for his first checkup with us to make sure he was in perfect health as requested by the breeder. Since then he has not even come close to using the pad. Also its like he forgot what the word "NO" means. We are starting from the beginning again except this time its harder. He held his poo in all night long and when I got up for work I got him out of the bathroom and he typically follows me to his playpen where he stays while I am at work. As Soon as I opened the gate he darted to a corner of my bedroom and squatted. Before I could react in my pre-coffee state the deed was done. |
shes young. Jess was an angel when we first brought her home. After two weeks that all changed. Barking at night, peeing and pooping in her crate, you name it. She wasn't a pup either, she was almost 1. It took a good 6 months before we got a routine right. Its kind of trial and error. I think they are just so quiet and good the first few days because they are scared witless. Once they get a little used to things like all babies start testing the boundaries..Jess is a completely different dog then when we first got her. She was given up by the breeder who breeds for show because she was too timid. If she saw her now she want her back! Shes right in your face... she still has occasional accidents but is good 95% off the time..she is totally indoor trained with pee pads on both floors. One is in her large crate at night because shes just a little thing a 5lbs so I cant expect her to hold it all night. She has a big bed and a big pee pad. Works great, she never pees in her bed anymore. NEVER...and we keep a diaper pail in the hall so her pads can be put in there and hauled out once a week. Got one of the ones with baking soda in it so it doesn't smell at all... |
