Potting training My yorkie is 6 months old and he still doesn't want to poop and pee outside. He will whine for me to take him out but it isn't to use the bathroom it is to either play or look for stuff to eat on. What do I do?:aimeeyork |
welcome to yt .....are you waiting out there with him? i would not bring him back in until he does his business. did you try potty pads for inside?? |
puppy pads I have tried the puppy pads and yes he uses those. He pees on them but poops on my carpet. |
haha sorry its not funny but it is. i still have a yorkie..keylo..she starts off on the pad but walks when she poops so hahaha well lets just say we watch her and pick up after her. you could always try putting the potty pad in the tub if he cannot get out and sit there until he poops on the pad. or try putting the poop on the pad after he goes so he knows its there and where he should pee and poop. as long as hes not a poop eater like my keylo. i know gross but she does so that is another reason we watch her like a hawk. Sorry i wish i had more ideas to offer hopefully another will chime in with some. |
potty training Thanks anyway, and I will try that out about putting the poop on the pad after he goes so that way he will know. He's my little baby! I have never loved any animal as much as I love him! :aimeeyork |

Eating grass Does your yorkie want to eat grass all the time? Also, my baby whines a lot for me to take him outside and it's never to pottie! I hope he isn't sick or something! |
Yep! Loves to be and go outside and eat grass and greens. I think mine just gets bored and wants to play more and outside it's all new and fun. Like a kid. He does go potty and poop when he is on a long walk but I think that's only bc he just wants to go do he does when he has no choice bc he is used to being able to go whenever he wants at home. Otherwise he waits to get inside when he's home to go :( |
