Paris please stop barkingg ! NEED SERIOUS HELP!! My 6 month old yorkie wont stop barking! We have a pretty big play pen for her so she has all the space she needs during the day to run around while we're at work. Once we get home i settle in then i give her attention, play with her and let her run around in a section of the house as she can still see me and i can still pay attention to what shes getting into. Theres still a couple of times where she'll still bark but its more to get out attention. The problem is at night. I bring the playpen into the room and place it on the side on my bed so that she can still see us and vise versa, her bed, food and toys are all in her play pen with us. We put her to bed from 10-11pm she'll bark but eventually she'll go to sleep. Around 3am in the morning she'll wake up and just start barking while looking at us as if shes doing it for attention. i'll try to ignore her but it doesnt help, i'll pick her up play with her put her down and she'll still bark until she feels like stopping and going back to bed. Then she'll wake up at 6:45am and do it all over again by that time im already up for work. Ive tried using the water spray and the paris NO BARKINg, but nothing seems to work ! HELP PLEASE !!!:mad::mad::(:(:( |
It's possible that she is needing more exercise. Do you walk her regularly? If she's left home for several hours during the day, she needs an outlet that's more than just playing in an area of your home. Also, the fact that you're playing with her at 3am is reinforcing her behavior to get a desired response from you. Is it possible to have a dog walker or doggie daycare a few times a week? I can be pretty sure that if she's getting tired enough, she will sleep at night. Good luck, and remember, she's still just a baby. :) |
Thank you, i havent began walking her out side as she still due for shots. but i think i will begin walking her even if its for 30 min a day. i am starting to assume it is lack of exercise. |
I think she wants to sleep with you, Yorkies are really companion dogs and they like to be as close to their humans as possible. She should have all her shots by now, except for rabies, and you can take her out for leashed walks without the rabies shot. |
