Clicker training I went to the library and rented a video on clicker training...it works AWESOME! Izzy is 7 weeks old and in 15 minutes she learned how to sit...i will randomly say sit and she stops what she is doing and sits perfect! I would recomend it to ANYONE! I am wondering what other things i can teach her...we are working on lay down but i am not sure really how to show her what i want her to do...I want to continue to clicker train her but i am wondering what would be other good things for her to learn? |
wow, what a smart little baby....lexi knows how to sit.laydown, bang bang, paw, highfive and spin |
what did you do/say to get her to get the idea of that? i think if i know where to "start" then i will be able to teach her anything! she is so smart...still having problems with the potty though...it is too cold to go outside (live in MN) and i think she is scared of the pads! |

Of those three book which would you recommend as the best! I am wanting to pick one up... Thanks to anyone who has actually read them and replies!!! |
I haven't read any of them, but I am going to look into them too. Scout has responded well to clicker training. I learned it at his Petsmart class. Here is a video of him doing some clicker tricks, although he's alot better now! Enjoy. http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?use...tDate=20051123 |

I have bought all of them and have more on the way. So of the three if you are just starting out I would try. Click For Joy by Melissa Alexander. It brakes it down as easy and as straight forward and answers just about any question that you might think of. Joy |
I did not mean to imply that you had not read them.... I am so sorry! I just wanted someone who had to pick their fav! Thank you so much! Kind of off subject... Has anyone read "Marley and Me"? I got it for christmas and am half way through it, I have laughed out loud and cried many times... its such a good book so far! Its about the worlds worst dog... its very good! |

I tend to give lots of titles and suggest having a look at them all as I do not like anything by one very good trainer but others find it intresting. I like to let you have a look. Some books a dry and boring but others are amazing. Joy |
I can't do dry! So if "Click for joy" is a fun read while having good info... I will order it right away! Thanks so much for all of your help! |
Scout is so adorable. He is such a cutie. So smart. :) |
