Help! My puppy keeps tearing up the Potty Pads!
 
My puppy, Mia, is almost 12 weeks old now. She has been great about pee-ing on the potty pads, and at the start, she left them alone otherwise. Now she is shredding them and eating some of the bits. Of course this also means that we have pee and poo on the floor! What do I do?

How about trying reusable/washable pee pads?

I use washable puppy pads that I bought off of eBay. I have 6 of them and each pad is washable up to 300 times. They will last me for a few years. I've had them for several months now and they have held up great. And when I have to put my Brody in an xpen, he doesn't mess with them like he did the disposable ones. :)

You could try a pan to hold the pad, but that might not be enough.

There are several members here who make washable pee pads that are much better than any you can buy at Petsmart. When mine were tiny, I used washable pads I purchased from a medical supply store, but those were really expensive.

I never used this but the pet stores sell a potty patch. She pees on it and it is washable but she cannot tear this up. I hope this works. My JoJo was ripping his pad up for awhile. It is annoying to see that torn up. Now he finally goes outside.

I tape my pee pads to the floor. i put the duct tape on the back and stick it to the floor . We have tile in the sunroom where she stays when alone at home . It works great for us and now even if i use no tape she doesn't mess with it anymore :)
Its much easier for me to trow them away instead of washing

I had a chewer :( Then I bought the washables from T.Bumpkins & I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! Washable and reusable dog and puppy pee pads, belly bands, and diapers by T. Bumpkins & Co.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've seen the washable pads but wondered if she would leave them alone, or just drag them around the floor. The pad holder looks like a great idea, and the Amazon reviews are encouraging! I may give that a try.
