Yes, its still bad. Yesterday we went grocery shopping, so we put him in his crate when we left, while we were walking out he started barking so loud it sounded like he was screaming. He was like throwing a little temper tantrum! We got home and when we were walking to the door, we heard him STILL whining/barking  |
It's me... Since we have pups from the same litter, I just wanted to let you know that Tinkerbell was pretty bad too. We used the pennies in the can. When she would throw a temper tantrum with screaming as you described, we would shake the can really hard and say quiet. And repeat and repeat until she was quiet. It took quite a few times the first day, then she was good for a while then we had to do it again a couple days ago and now she is fine again. I also wanted to let you know, we started putting her crate in our room at night. I think she is really comforted by my husband's snoring! Any way she wimpers occasionally and we just tap the crate and say quiet. She shuts right up and lately I have been able to sleep in. No more 5 am starts to my day. Quiet! is the best word she has learned. How is Bailey doing otherwise... Is he 2 lbs. yet? |
Ok so small problem here, I just got my first yorkie and he does not want to leave my side. I put him in the crate during the day and he cries for a bit but stops but come night time forget it all he does is cry as soon as I let him our he curls next to me and goes to sleep how do I get him to curl up and go to sleep in the crate? |

Do you think bailey still needs to go potty in the middle of the night at his age? I haven't taken Tinkerbell potty in the middle of the night since the first week we got her. She just wanted to play anyway so I stopped getting up to take her and she never peed in her crate. I understand the middle of the night thing, try the can it does work. |

If he pees in his crate tonight he might not do it the next night. He will not enjoy sleeping on his pee. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh...oh and remember to pick up his water bowl in the evening. |
