Sorry for the typo's . . you can also find a page on grooming. You may want to get started on conditioning your pups. Start with some light brushing all over their face and body to get them use to being touched with the different tools. Plus its important that you place them in different positions to get them use to the typical grooming positions like laying, standing and sitting. It also a great oppertunity to work on those simple commands !! |
Oh I was SO happy this morning....and his bed has been dry after his naps today, too!! :) It's so worth setting the alarm and waking him up to go potty. Even if this becomes his routine, I am totally fine with that. :D I know for working moms it may not be the best schedule, but it works for us. Thank you, Dawn!! :) |
My puppy is now 10 weeks old and since I got him at 8 weeks, he has always let me know by barking in the middle of the night to go potty. I kind of tested him to see what he would do the second day we had him. I take away food and water 1 hour before bedtime and make sure he pees before bed. He will wake me up at around 2 a.m. and then at 6 a.m. to go potty. Then I get up at 8 a.m. and have him go potty and then give him his food and water for the day. It will get easier. It's already gotten better just in the 2 weeks I've had my pup. He went all day yesterday without an accident. And just 1 today. |

Yea, (eye burgers) not fun, but thats just part of being a Yorkie. If you dont keep it cleaned they will build up and get really crusty. I use a flea comb to get them out after a bath when the hair is still wet. Its always best to check every day or so and just pluck them out. But for those harder stiffer clumps alway wet them down first. I've found that keeping the hair cut short helps with it. There is not so much build up and easier to get out. Im not really sure if there is anything you can put on them to help it just a matter of keeping them cleaned on a regular basis. |

I'm having the under eye problem, too. He is so squirmy and hates me around his eyes. I, too, am going to get a flea come. :) |
