K.. so Daisy is going through her terrible 2's I think.
Here's the thing...in the past few weeks I have noticed that she is more obediant to my husband. If he is in the room she wants nothing to do with me. If I call her she goes and gets in his lap in a hurry.
Does any one think this is because I am the one who does all the bathing and grooming, I also am at home with her more. When he is not around she comes to me better and when called and listens more.
He also spoils and gives more treats..which I do not approve of as often as he gives. On the other hand he has really spanked her more, or should I say really "spanked" her harder than I have. ( Do you think this is a respect thing)? she knows he means buisness!
Maybe she knows that I am a push over! I do disipline but am not as harsh.Also she lets him hold her and cuddle, but not with me.
Any suggestions?
The whole situation is making me kinda sad. We already have a older dog who is really "his". Not that she doesn't love me, but you can see a difference in her when he's home. This little one was supposed to be my baby...and I feel that she is bonding more to him. Not that I am jealous or want her not to love him, I would just like to be equal.

Ive noticed with my Yorkies that the females usually attach more to males. I have two females and when my father is home and he is on the computer or doing something besides paying attention to them they sit on the couch and whine as loud as they can for his attention. They'll even start barking at him until he holds them. My two males are obsessed with me, If i pay attention to the females or my sheltie they attack them or start barking/whining and carrying on until i pick them up. How old is she?

Huey does the same thing. He is my Velcro dog until daddy comes home from work. Then he jumps on the top of the recliner and follows his daddy with an adoring stare until his daddy pays him some attention. At that point I could be horse meat for all he cares. Now after daddy has been home from work for a while he is back attached to me with his velcro, but as soon as daddy makes any move towards the kitchen, Huey is back on him, since he is the human food treat master. I give frozen green beans, cheese and carrots. Daddy gives pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs. I know what I would prefer (except the cheese, of course... that is nirvana...). Huey comes when called (mostly) for daddy, forgets his name for me. Etc. :rolleyes:

My one year old girl is a daddy's girl! I think she sees me as the bad guy. I do all the feeding, treats, baths, meds, grooming, potty training, etc. She gives me no loving, or greeting. She jumps for joy with my hubby, sleeps on him, by him, and kisses all the time for him. I get squat! I really wanted to bond with her. I got her be cause my daughter went off to college. I have a 7 year old yorkie boy, and he's the opposite of her. He loves me to death. I hope she changes soon, be cause I adore her!!!!

Same thing here, Trixie is a daddy's girl. Whenever I try to groom her she runs to him for help. I think they are attracted to the testosterone...LOL

Our Bella LOVES her Daddy, goes crazy when he walks in the door. I find it very cute.

Don't lose heart, she will come around!:) I have 2" mommies girls" and 1 "daddies boy" here. The girls will sit with my hubby and greet him when he gets home. But once, I go and sit down, they both come right to me for snuggle time. I am their "puppy" bed and we all snuggle during TV time. Maybe we are the exception to the rule......:confused:

I've got the exact same thing going on here at our house!! Princess Sophie can't get enough of the DH when he comes home from work. He worries that she is preferring him over me when she's supposed to be my dog. Even though I'm a little jealous, I'm just so happy that he is bonding with Sophie, I really am not going to complain.

The DH was so attached to Gretel that when she passed away, my DH was depressed. He missed her so very much that I'm really happy that Sophie is easing that pain. Both the DH and Hansel are so much happier these days that I am happy for them too!!

Sophie is still my baby, I'm with her all day long, most every day so I'm ok with all of this.
