Help! All of a sudden peeing everywhere! Winnie has been acting out the last 6 months. I used to keep her unkenneled all day while I was at work and never had any troubles. In the last 6 months she has soiled my spare room carpet and I can't even let her out for an hour alone because she will pee and poop. Now this week she has pee'd twice through the night. I don't know what her problem is. I'm getting very frustrated and losing sleep over her getting out of her basket during the night and running around. I need suggestion on what to do?? |
ru sure there is no bladder infection or anything medical going on?? also do you have an enclosed crate to use instead of a basket?? did anything major change to bring on these accidents that you recall?? |
My boyfriend and I broke up a year ago and then 6 months later she started doing this. I know I have been busier lately and hate to think that she's not getting enough attention and she's acting out because I do dedicate lots of time to her. She is now kenneled during my work day because this is the only way to avoid any accidents. Then if I leave her for an hour to run to the store she will poop. Then this week two times she's peed on the carpet during the night. She drinks and eats like normal, I don't see her having an infection. It's her acting out and I need to find a way to stop it. She knows she's doing wrong because she hides and will tuck her ears and run to her kennel but still doesn't stop her from doing it again. I don't want to go back to the basics but I might have to. |
have you tried increasing her exercise time? i wish i could offer you more assistance...hopefully others will chime in. |
I understand that the timing goes along with a life change, but anything this drastic in behavior should be checked out by a vet - it very well could be a physical (not a psychological) issue. I would rule that out first. |
1 Attachment(s) you may want to invest in a puppy apartment for evenings and when you are out. I got RICHELL, it expands up to 5 feet long, has a top ou can buy and a separate room for potty....this way she has run room to play, a place to sleep and a room to potty. Its different than a regular puppy apartment as it expands...you can also leave the potty side open for her to go in if she is roaming free. Maybe as she got older he bladder control isnt what it used to be. I will say however i firmly believe dogs know how to push buttons.. |
