starting to potty indoors again? I pee pad my pup indoors for months. Then later around six months started outdoor training. Thought it was going well, until lately, she's starting to do it in the house again at a year old. Did I confuse her? I don't know why she's starting to do this again. I have a pee pad in my bathroom, but she goes on the carpet in the bathroom instead. She won't touch a pee pad. It use to be in the kitchen when I first trained her indoors. What should I do? |
oh boy.....can you pull the rug in your bathroom? or keep her from going in the bathroom and put it back in the kitchen where she was first trained....not sure if shes confused or if she has just decided she likes the soft rug better. wish i had more advice to offer....lola has accidents but its my fault as i dont catch her at the door and she doesnt make a sound so you have to be watching her...im sure others will have good advice as well. wishing you luck. |
No I can't pull the rug from bathroom. I can shut the door, then she goes in the hallway. Also carpeted! I hate to put a pad in the kitchen again, it might make her think its OK to go inside? I don't know anymore! I'm confused! |
lol ok well then i would suggest no pad and when she goes potty on the rug then watching her like a hawk and if you catch her going pick her up and bring her outside after stating no you go potty outside. she is probably feeling the same as you confused. can you gate off the carpeted areas when you cannot watch her closely?? just thoughts to try and help. |
Thanks for your help. No, can't gate her off anywhere. She's a climber and jumper!!!! Since day one. I hang a bell on the sliding door, she always rings it to go out, but still does her business inside too. Ugh, so frustrating!!! |
I am having same trouble with teddy, I just need to make sure every couple hours I put him outside to go potty or he will have accident, he won't touch pee pads anymore |
Missing the pad Ginger and Skipper go to the pad to potty but often pee or poop next to the pad. Their aim is awful! Help |
pregnancy I am new to this site; I have a Party Yorkie and am breeding her for the first time; how long is their gestation period. Just found out they are in heat for 21 days!!! What have I gotten into. Also have potty pads out and she'll go pee on the pads and poop in a entirely different place (livingroom) and NOT on the pad. She goes outside as well but only pee and comes inside to do her other stuff, like one I read before, HELP!. Thanks.:aimeeyork |

I have a bell hanging on my sliding door. My older yorky rings it to go outside and potty. My little girl who just turned one can do the same. But she only goes outside to explore, then will have a accident inside. She acts like she doesn't know what a pee pad is anymore. They were put up for a while, now these accidents happening I put them out again. But she won't use them. Ugh I don't know what to do with her anymore! |
Ugh, we are having the SAME problem :( Dexter is 4.5 months old. And at first he was getting potty trained just fine, we never taught him to pee on the pads (although we still have them randomly around the house), we taught him to go outside. But few weeks ago he started going inside! He knows he is not suppose to cause he hides it and looks VERY guilty after he's done the deed. He can go whole day without peeing while we are at work, and doesn't wake us up at night anymore, so there is no problem with holding! I try to take him out every hour when we are home in the evening, but he still would pee inside! What do we do??? :'( |
