Out door training So my pup is 6 months old and is great at going potty outside. He goes out right before bed say 10pm and doesn't go til he wakes between 6 & 7 am and we take him out. Now during the day I am still taking him out every hour to pee but my question is at what point do you try and push it further before taking him out? Obviously it won't be every hour for the rest of his life I just don't know the best way to go about it. Thanks |
At 6 months Blazer was pretty good about going to the door to tell me that he needed to go out. At that time I had decorated for Christmas and had bells hanging from the doorknob that he would hit. At that point I knew that I had to get him out really soon after hearing the bell or else he'd have an accident. Does your pup let you know when he needs to go out or are you just automatically taking him out every hour? |
Taking him out every hour, he is not good at letting us know and he can't get to the door to let us know as he is confined to the living room only till he s potty trained. |
