mellowing out at what age will my baby yorkie start to mellow out and just chill with you? She is still a little fart and goes and goes and goes and goes! lol |
Logan has shown signs of mellowing in the past couple weeks. He is now just over 7 months old. He's still can be a brat but after about an hour of play he'll lay down and just chew his bone. |
cool! |
I was about to address the same issue lol. I wonder if mine will ever mellow out... -he has to be doing something, playing with something etc. I wish he could lay on me and fall asleep, or relax, but no dice... if he's out of his crate, he has to be in motion... |
i can get my 11 week old puppy to just hang out and sleep in my lap for hours, especially at night, or if im being still. Watching tv or reading is always a good choice. |
When I got my first yorkie, Chloe about 3 months ago I thought the same thing. I had to be on the floor 24 hours a day playing with her. Well I got this great idea of wanting another one and so we got Daisy about 1 1/2 months ago and now they keep each other occupied. Dont get me wrong I still play with them but I can also get things done around the house bc they keep each other company. Believe me 2 is so much easier to take care of than 1. |
Cali is 6 month sold and I am seeing a slight calming down. She sleeps a little more or will lay around chewing on a toy os just lay in the hall by my pom. A month ago I though she'd never settle down. so it does get easier. Except now I worry when she's less active that she's sick! |
Wow you guys are lucky,, Bailey is just now starting to settle,, he was NONSTOP! My vet said you should notice a change after 1 year old,,but I DID NOT... but now he is a year and 1/2 and I'm noticing it now. He cuddles more, sleeps more, comes to ME more. Things like that. |
Mellowing out? Apparently 'mellowing' isn't a word in Harleys vocab.. I fear he may never calm down! hehe I think it all depends on the dog.. all are different. |
