For one, you should be getting up way earlier to tend to your pup. When he is trained then you can get up an hour or so earlier. He is cooped up in the crate for waaaaaaay to long. It's almost non stop from the time he goes to sleep until you get home, finish your homework, and settle in. Then when you do spend time your frustrated because he's dirty and you need to clean him and his cage.
My suggestion...
Wake up at least 2 hours earlier, but I suggest possibly earlier. This way you can feed him, let him go to the bathroom, play with him, and some training before you crate him again. When you get home settle for a little bit (15 minutes) then tend to him. Wash him up, clean his quarters, feed him, play with him, maybe take him for a walk... that way he's taken care of before you do your homework.
You can't feed him, clean up poop, stick him in a cage and expect him to be well trained or happy for that matter. You have to put in the time and effort and you will get it back with a well behaved and loveable dog. |
