help w/ chewing My boy chews all his toys stuffing out, then wants to eat it.So I got no stuffing toys, took the stuffing out of some & sewed them up. Now he gets the clicker out. I have tried all kinds of toys. Can anyone help?He needs something to play & chew on. They told me no rawhide and no bones. thanks |
Have you tried Kong toys? If he's a puppy, they have Kong toy for teething too. I've also had success with freezing chicken broth into ice cubes. My boy is a big chewer, and now I stay away with plushie toy. Stuffing or no stuffing he will rip it apart. So far the only plush toy that has stayed intact is Kong safari (monkey). Also, I just read about stagbars, which is an alternative to rawhide. |
thanks Just wanted to say thank you I'll try those.Nice to know some one else has a chewer. He does bother shoes or anything else just his toys. thanks again:D |
bully sticks....himalyan chews (just watch with these kinds some have had broken tooth issues) i only feed these when monitoring them...freezy pups...its organic and you can freeze them just like chicken broth. ive found these have helped with keylo shes a lil chewer also. if you take the bully stick away i find it works better than just letting them have free range. so when i do give them bully sticks they will chew them intently cause they know ill be taking them away in a time period. wishing you luck. |
I totally recommend bully sticks. My brother and sister-in-law just bought a golden retriever and I put together a little care package including bully sticks - my sister-in-law told me those have been their saving grace with the chewing issues. My two absolutely love bully sticks! |
