This rain is for the birds!
 
Jaxson makes so much progress with his potty training and then it rains....It's been raining almost every other day since we homed him. We take 3 steps forward and 2 back! I'm trying puppy pads too but that's hit or miss. Do boy Yorks have a harder time with potty training because they like to mark?

I will take all your rain if you take my snow, all 2 feet of it shoveled 5 feet 6ft high....pleaseeeeee:D

OOOOOOOO He!! NO. I've had my share of it growing up. Although, It might be easier to potty train.

The rain is nonstop here, too. Huey walked to the door, but when I opened it, he looked outside, turned around and told me "ah, nevermind":D. I had to send him downstairs to the basement. At least I do have that option. He is a bad one to potty wherever it is more convenient...I have to watch for the signs and make sure he goes to the appropriate place. He is potty trained but stubborn. All the yorkie books said they were difficult to pottytrain, but I had no idea what I was in for. Last furkid was a lab. He was easy...:rolleyes:

I've had female and male dogs in the past and it seemed Males were harder to train (Go Figure);) I to saw or read that somewhere, they said they could be easy or EXTREMELY difficult. That 2 different extremes lol

Moki wasn't to bad. Still not trust worthy but he just turned 8 mo. He rings his bell to go outside.And outside he has a grass patch which I clean twice a week. Hose it with soap. And use a spare grass while ones drying. If I don't hear it there a pad he goes on. 95% trustworthy. But I'm good with my hands I built a cover prison for Moki to stay dry. He only goes in the yard with someone.

I tried the grass pad with Huey. He did to it the same as the puppy pads-drug it all over the room. Puppy pads he shredded, grass pad he systematically de-grassed a blade at a time. I would come home to shredded grass all over the room and pee on the corners of the furniture. :(

Moki gets alot of play time and training. He isn't home alone much either. IMO I think his high activity helps with his destructiveness capabilities. Which is limited only to when bored :)

Thank you. What I had before was crushed rock because I was going to do a patio. Then just a temporary awning. It rains alot here so it's nice not to go into the rain all the time. But it also gives shade also. Then I decided just to spend a little and make a porch. I designed it so I can put plexi glass or screen and a door to make it bug free or weather free. At least I framed it that way. Don't wanto spend the $$ to do it....my want list is bigger than my wallet
