sonic is out of control
 
Sonic is potty trained but he does has his moments where he urinates in the house., the last 2 days he has been urinating in the house and I mean alot, he makes a line as he walks and its frustating because he knows to let me know when he has to go. When I take him outside I see him do his business.
So how can a small 5 pound yorkie pee so much and I mean alot after he has been outside several times.. Is it because its cold outside or what? anyone go through this? I need answers.

My first thought is to have the Vet check him for a UTI.

Yes! First make sure he's healthy. Peeing a lot is the first sign of a UTI. Have it checked now instead of waiting for brown pee. (Blood in pee) I too thought it was a behavioral problem, and was sad to find out the hard way my baby was sick and I neglected to take him in sooner. :unlove:

I agree, every single time Mini's potty habits change its a UTI..

I will make a call to my vet. I just read about uti symptoms, only thing he does is pee alot usually happends once a month, until the last 2 days he had 2 accidents, he isn't in pain or showing pain or straining to pee which he has no problem doing.

A UTI symptoms can show up many ways it can just be peeing too muchto straining to pee. Any change in potty habits and it should be checked and its simple to check they just check the urine. One time on here there was a gal that was certain that the peeing in her house was a behavioral problem but it was a change in behavior so I told her to have the vet take a check and sure enough it ended up being a UTI

We had no experience with UTI's in dogs until our Boxer had one. I wish I would have checked her earlier because the reason I notice was I watched her urinate and there was blood in it:( I agree with Chachi it's very simple they will just test the urine and should be able to tell. If its not a UTI maybe it's all the holiday commotion causing it? Georgie tends to have "accidents" when things are out of sorts.

Kaji's only symptoms was peeing everywhere he knew not to. He never strained or anything else, until I saw blood in his urine. :(

That was exactly the same with Coco and I felt bad like you did:(

Aww you shouldnt feel bad I think this would be an easy thing to miss. So often we think they are just regressing in potty training and most times thats all it is.

My experience with UTIs has been with cats. Whenever I have one quit using the litter box it is the first thing checked because it happened to one of my cats in the past and I thought it was bad behavior but ended up being a uti

Sonic does this every other month.. I will get him tested to be on the safe side
