Play pens Okay, I have a question. When people say they use play pens, is it literally a play pen, like for babies? If so, is this your alternative to a crate? I get my baby in about 2 months, so I want to know everything I can. If you use a play pen, do you put her pee pad on one side, and her sleep place on the other? |
I think most people are referring to a xpen or exercise pen which you can buy at a pet store like petsmart. They come in 3 different sizes I think. And yes, you would put a pee pad in there for them, & a crate is up to you. Plus, lots of toys to keep them busy! :D Food & water would probably be optional, on how long you will be gone. Hope this helps! :) |
I am a stay at home mommy, so my baby will rarely be alone. I was thinking of using the exer. pen, I will probably just go with that, so he can have his own little room kinda. |

We keep Logan in an actual baby play pen. He learned to climb out when he was 12 weeks, but we just stretched a fitted crib sheet over the top and have had no problems since. His bed is at one end and he has a potty pad at the other. |
i have a dog play pen and I love it. It's by dog n go. Its like a baby playpen but the front zips open so she can get in and out when I want her to. She is 25 weeks old and has been in it since I got her at 9 weeks. I have a pad and a bed and a blanket in te back and in the front I use the wee wee pad. She has been great with going in there to pee and take naps. She does sleep in my bed now for the last 6 weeks but goes down at night to use her wee wee pad. She is quite a jumper but has never attempted to get out the top. The mesh is very fine on it so I don't think she could get out. I love it! Much better than a baby play pen because she can get in and out when needed and when she was little I could just lift her in and out without having to unzip it. |
