we get our washable (designer print) pads from 107barney. She gives a discount for YT members as well. I have about a dozen that are used daily and washed often. They have held up great!! They are also beautiful to look at :thumbup:

drying puppy pads
 
I just bought washable puppy pads from newpuppypads.com and was wondering if I can put them in the dryer after I wash them or do they need to air dry/hang them up? Any suggestions?

I usually machine dry mine. Occasionally, they will take too long to dry, and I have to get another load started, leave the house, whatever. In this case, I either completely dry or finish drying them on the line.

Maybe I'm just crazy but I bought washable incontinent pads from a hospital
supply for under $4 each?? Don't see spending $20 for ones made for dogs??

I hang them outside on the clothes line. They dry pretty quick. BTW, these pads are great, thick, absorbant and wash up great.

I bought one hospital one from Amazon.com and I am glad I only bought one. It was $13 and that's not cheap. I hate it. Also, I bought huge dog type pads since I have six dogs and put down 2 a day. I love them.

I ordered a few made in the Usa. To check them out. Felt like they were sewn pretty good. Poured 16 oz of water soaked it up easily. No water made it through and can take plenty more. Made for humans who I imaging would leave more waste then a 5lb dog? I ordered more. True test is when I get my pup but under $4 each with free shipping. But they are plain white with pink vinyl back. JME

Guess, it depends if you're just looking at function, or looking at function & decor.

I have ugly washables, a ton of disposables, and a couple of washables with nice fabric that coordinates with my interior house colors. I always mean to pull out the pretty ones before company comes...but rarely remember to do it...but they do look nice folded on the shelf :D

Perfect timing, as I was contemplating ordering from this company (founded by a fellow yorkie owner/lover) and sounds like a good reference/recommendation to me :) I also noticed you have multiple furbabies, as I do (we have two brothers/puppies). What size pee pads did you order? (They have 3 - small, standard, and large.) The standard ones are like $20 and those are the ones I'm leaning toward, but almost wonder, w/ two doggies, if we should order larger size. Really appreciate your info, as have been trying to decide for the last day or two what to order.

True. Hopefully my pup will be like my previous Yorkie. Always went outside. never had the need for pads. I got him ~4 mo old and only had a few accident. Always went to the door right away. I would think the wee pads would confuse them? Did with my Pom. Pads vs Carpet. Same to him. Especially when you have all hard flooring. I'm just using pads for the crate and pen.JMO/JME

If you're crazy then I am too! Mine actually come from hospice patients that no longer need them. I have also bought them in thrift stores.

I normally dry mine in the dryer without a fabric softener sheet. I have also used a small amount of clorox in the washer with them.

I have hardwood flooring throughout my entire house, other than marble tile in the bathroom & slate tile in the sunroom, so I have alot of rugs...large & small. ZoE never mistakes the rugs/carpeted pieces for her pads. I think it has more to do with her knowing where to go, not on what to go.
