Will Brody ever be house trained?!?! Brody has such an amazing personality. He is adorably clueless, at all times. It makes me terribly worried for house training!!! When Sophia would pee inside, she would have a guilty look. When Brody pees inside, he literally pounces away like he did something amazing! He goes about 2 days without an accident, and then goes inside (multiple times) on the 3rd... and it repeats. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Last night, I was folding laundry on the bed. He peed through 2 shirts, through the duvet cover, and onto the down comforter :eek::eek:. He's never peed on the bed before... so now I feel like he's back tracking!!! |
Hmmm... that's tricky! What a little stinker. ;) Do you mean he peed 5x in a row, on the shirts, bedding, etc? That sounds like marking to me. Is he neutered? How old is he? Does he have free roam? Sounds like he may have too much freedom... you need to start from stage one again. Crating when can't be watched 24/7. Literally not taking your eyes off of him for the whole time he's out. Don't give him the opportunity to fail, take him out every 30 minutes if you have to. Praise and treat like crazy when he goes outside. If he can't be watched, he needs to be a very small area (i.e. a crate or a small expen). |

No, sorry I was misleading when I typed it. It was one pee that soaked everything . Everytime he pees inside, no legs are up. He only leg lifts outside. He is neutered  and he's 8 1/2 months. He doesn't have free roam when I'm gone. I watch him 95% of the time when he's running about. Most of the time I can intercept him when he's about to pee, and I'll take him outside. Sometimes, I'm too late :(. I go CRAZY with praise when he pee's outside. He's not treat motivated, which has become a problem. He's toy motivated, but I can't exactly bring a toy out with me and give it to him every time. He knows to poop outside, but not pee. That's partially why I'm so confused.:confused: |
Jaeger poops outside but only sometimes pees outside....I feel your pain |
It can take 3-4 months for the hormones to change from him getting neutered. Be happy it didn't go through to the bed! (JK) |
Lima peer on the bed yesterday...and..get ready for it...on my LAP today...it was my fault...she gets so hyper when we play, even if she just went potty. The worst is that these were the only accidents she's had in weeks and weeks! I think she's pretty much trained, for the most part...she just forgets sometimes when she's overexcited. She was sleeping on my lap for a couple hrs this morning and when she woke up, Tony starred getting her all riled up...and before I realized what was happening, she had peed aaaaall over me...ew. Sorry to hear Brody is having a little trouble, Sarah...I wish I had advice for you. Just keep at it. He's still young. Give that goof a hug from Luma and I. |
Hi. I know exactly how you feel, Ollie is now 11 mths old, he knows he has to go out side for a wee as I open the door and go outside telling him to wee, his older brother who is 4 goes on clockwork, I will stay out as long as I can, constantly say wee, but he follows me back in doors and pees as he walks, so I get a long pee line on the floor! I have not got a clue how to stop this. |
