Aren't cats supposed to be the ones that JUMP on the table? Maybe I spoke too soon about Thor being a good boy and calming down some. He is WILD, bonkers! :jump28ib: He has been getting on the kitchen table!!! :eek: The coffee table :eek: and he even climbed up ontop of the computer desk!!!! :eek: :eek: The kitchen table was the worst! I couldn't believe. Yes I had to laugh but who would have ever thought that I would have to keep a DOG off of the tables! He has learned how to use chairs very effectively! My cat lives on the table or any where high up since I got Rocky, but I am starting to think he thinks he can do what the cat does. He trys to get up on the chairs and other thinks, but luckly is so still little cannot jump that high yet. |
Hannah, that is too funny! After having met him this past weekend, I can see him doing all those things. He is definitely a little rebel! What a cutie!! :p |

walks on table and couch top HA!!! My Roxy does the same exact thing. We call her CATDOG! If we hear a strange bark in the morning that is different than her reg. bark we know someone forgot to push the kitchen chair in. There she is on top of the table, stuck there. It is funny, but tends to get aggravating. The new thing she started is walking on top of the sectional couch(leather, I might add) I know her nails are going to rip it soon. Right now she is sleeping on the top part of the couch. Too crazy. No wonder they like to catch rats and mice. They are part cat. HA-HA! Roxy's mom Maria :animal36 |
OMG!!! Homer has just started getting on the tables. I thought it was just him being a brat! This week I had a project for work on the table and my husband & I ran to the store to get something to eat. When we came home, Homer had taken my project and dismantled it piece by piece. When I picked up a piece of the project that was then on the floor, I turned to Homer, I was like "what is this Mr.? and he trotted out the back door like I wasnt even there.... He is driving me batty!!! I have no idea where they get the ideas to get on the table... I have left food on the table before and he never got up on the table for that... Yeah I know Tiggers gotten into the habit of doing that as well. It's really annoying, In fact My boyfriend told me that while I was at work today, Tigger had the nerve to jump on the coffee table right in front of him and get into my pretty center piece and chew on a ornament. grrrr........ |
What do you mean that Yorkies aren't suppose to climb on any elevated flat surface? Tell that to Beanie..... LOL. Sounds like our Yorkies came from the same breeder!! :) |
You know - if you were as little as a Yorkie, it would be kind of hard being down on the floor all the time. You get down there and see how you like it. You can't see a thing. They want to be up where we are (not where our feet are) So - of course, they learn quickly that the higher up they get - the more they can see what's going on around them. They have more fun and probably feel safer too. My little dogs learned quickly to get up on my furniture. They all sit and sleep on the back of one big chair (cats and dogs) - where they can look around the room and out the window. They spend hours up there. It's their window to the world. Carol Jean |
That is called a smart dog! Did you have something on the table? I caught Stomper doing that once. He was getting to the freshly baked cake! Let's just say...I couldn't serve it to family after he got to it! hehehe :D |
Should share with you - (did mention this in another post). I never realized how much time my dog spent on my furniture until one morning I heard my alarm clock go off and couldn't find it. I followed the noise to Murphy's bed and he had the alarm clock in bed with him. While I was there I snooped around and found two Bic lighters, a comb, two pairs of glasses, and some car keys. All of these things had been taken (over a period of time) off the end tables in the front room. I have learned to check his bed whenever anything is missing now. I found two ballpoint pens, a jar lid, and my gas and electric bill in there today. He's a little packrat thief. His climbing skills have come along way since I brought him home six weeks ago.
