Agressive Yorkie My 3 month old yorkie gets pretty agressive sometimes after eating or after you play with him for a while and he starts barking or so. Usually when he does this I put him away in another room, any advice? |
Same Problem My little guy is 3 years old and only within the last year has he become a terror. When he goes crazy with the barking I usually tap on his nose and say "no" or "stop" and that will usually shock him into being quiet (albiet with a few growls lol.) When that doesn't work 5-10 mins in "time-out" in his kennel works wonders. On mornings where he's especially loud after the first couple of barks he goes straight to the kennel to minimize barking later in the day. He is progressively becoming more aggressive with nips and growls and for that...I've yet to find a solution. (sigh) |
That's a big problem, and since my yorkie is only 3 months old I should find a method to train him into being friendlier. He bites a lot my hands for some reason  |
Never allow him to bite your hand, even in play. Replace your hand with a toy. I would nip it in the bud before it becomes a bad habit. Others here will join in and tell you ways on how to correct this behavior. I hope you can fix this soon and fast. |
when cedric was a baby and bit my hands or fingers i would say ouch and you hurt mommy. he quickly learned not to bite me even when we play. he is a year old now and we dont really have that issue. hope you can nip it in the bud. =*(()) |
