help with nighttime woes We are having a really hard time with Mator at night. We have tried : sleeping in our room in his crate next to the bed, he was up every hour to pee, which i get sort of, but the problem is when he wants to play evert hour or so as well. in his crate in his room where pee pad is in , crate door shut. up every hour or two yelping loudly wanting to pee/play in his room with crate door open, pee pad, food/water/bed/toys....did great one night, horrible next two nights. Please help. whats best solution!! He generally goes to sleep ok, around 10-11 pm with us (no water after 8 on all but the third option we have tried). Last night he went to sleep around 10, work at 230 yelping/whining but stopped after 14 minutes, i did not go in. Then he was up again again at 515-600 when i finally put him in bed with me (i know bad mama but i need sleep) Any ideas what option is best? how do we get him to stop barking/yelping...hes keeping our yorkie and toddler awake..not to mention the neighbors and us! |
I would suggest putting the crate on a sturdy surface leveled to your bed where you are directly in his sight of vision and then slowly distancing him every night. Put a toy or treat in his crate. This method worked for our 2, hope it does for you too. |
