Nibblet! Not The Litter Box!!!! .... So I guess you know where this is going. How do I fix this? |
Baby gates. The kitties can jump over, hopefully the Yorkies won't! |

You could also try getting a different litter box. I use the mega rectangle one (I have 2 large Maine coon cats) and when I have puppies turn the boxes so the shorter side is facing the wall so the walls are too high for yorkie puppy to get too. Pet Supplies - Pet Products - Pet Food | Petco.com |
I wish I could gate the room off, but I'm worried about my older cat jumping. I mean, he still can, but he has arthritis and I'm worried about his joints. The litter box is on the second floor, and she's fine when she's downstairs playing with everybody (three cats, two of them 8 month old kittens), but when she bolts up the stairs and runs past the room with the litter box... And as tiny as she is, she's like a kangaroo! I'm still surprised she hasn't jumped out of the x-pen yet. (I can see the wheels churning.:animal36) *SIGH!* |

Could you baby gate bottom of the stairs? My cats are going to be 14 and 12 this year. They have no problems jumping the gates. The gates are for Golden containment not yorkie- He is still learning manners around cats. You could teach "leave it" with respect to the litterbox. None of mine will litter pick. |
Amazon makes shorter pet gates.. It works for our cat, yorkie, Maltese and lab. Amazon.com: Walk Over Wooden Gate (30-44" W, 18"... |
