Peeing and Pooping in crate?!?!?! Hunny is 13 weeks old and she pees and poops in her crate EVERYDAY!!! We got Holly at 12 weeks and she instictively knew to not pee or poop in the crate. It was her bed, she didn't want to soil it. Hunny wakes up every night wet or dirty. We will take her out to potty, put her back in and she will go again on her self and cry. She will also potty during the day if left in her crate even for an hour. Her crate is divided and she is only in half of it. I've been looking at the Potty Training Apartments to help with this. I'm at my wits end, every night I'm up cleaning her crate and pillow and blanket. I saw a few posts on the PTPA on here and it had good reviews. I hope this will help at night but it's a big investment if not. She doesn't do so well during the day either but I feel like I could get that under better control if I could put her in the crate some without her pottying in it. Any suggestions?? |
How about using an xpen (playpen) so she had somewhere to go other than her crate? You put her bed at one end and her potty pads at the other and praise her when she uses the pads. |
Hello, I'm very new here. well We just got our Baby Truffles is 13 weeks now(we got her when she was 9weeks old) she's been using pee pad inside Tray since we got her from beginning and I got her play pan and set up pee tray area, food dish area, play area and bed for her. I am amazed how much they go pee( little tinkles) in between reg.pee times. now we have 3 pee tray with pads in different zones in house(kitchen, living room and in her playpen) she use all of her pad tray. it works better for this little ages babies. |

Go on www.drsfostersmith.com and they have a pee pad tray. You put the pad on the tray and then the frame goes on top to hold it in place. This worked well for our little one. Also they don't seem to be interested in ripping the pad up.Hope this helps. |
Dog Housetraining Supplies: Protection Tray for use with Piddle PadsŪ at Drs. Foster and Smith that's the one I got for my Truffle (in playpen) and whole pad will fit perfect! living room and kitchen has smaller size than that (I picked at Petco for $19 came with some pee pads ) these are little smaller size so I make sure to fold good so no edges comes out from tray for Truffle to pick and distroy the pad. |
