Up at crazy o' clock Hi all, Bella was up at 2 am this morning acting like she wanted to play, which I know I shouldn't encourage, but her teething has been horrible. She's miserable almost all the time, so when she wanted out to play at 2am I let her. She played, ate, and roamed around until around 7 this morning and now she's sleeping peacefully with a full belly. I did notice she lost another tooth in her bed (I took it out and put it in her toothkeeper). I'm wondering if it was just that tooth that was causing her a lot of pain? It was bigger than the other three she has lost so far. My question is...since I'm a housewife with no kids, and I can pretty much sleep when I want...is it really that big a deal if I let her out at 2am? She was feeling so chipper and hasn't felt like that since before she started teething. Thanks :) |
No if you can make your own hours it doesnt matter and its probably due to the teething |
I have to agree with chachi :) |
I totally agree. I have no set hours and sometimes keep BJ awake watching movies until 4 AM. If it doesn't bother you, I think that is great. Things will change when she gets thru the puppy stage, then you will look back and smile. |
Thank you everyone...I appreciated the agreement to be honest. I only want what is best for her, and I think what is best for her is letting her be up when she wants. She was actually up from midnight until only 5 minutes ago...so 6 hours. She's sleeping, and it will be my turn for that soon. lol :) I have to say though..she's a little upset that she cannot have any of her squeakers in the middle of the night, because they wake my husband up (he *does* need to sleep, he works). So she has to settle for bully sticks, chews, and non-squeaking balls. She knows right where her toys are kept and sits there and stares at her toybasket...then looks at me like..."mmmm scuse me, but you forgot some!" lol |
I occasionally have that problem with CaLi. She will hear me get up to go to the ladies room, get a drink, check on my son....and she's up and all ears wagging her tail like we're gonna start playing. I firmly tell her "NO, Go nite nite"....and she will lay back down. This took weeks of training. I gave her chew toys for the teething in the mid of night. I have to say though, for the most part...this little girl sleeps all night long. She is a good napper during the day as well, which really allows me to get my online courses done. :) |
