By the way Teresa, you might want to write a sticky for the library instead of writing this all out in detail each time.

I wish we could get the "no bark" and water bottle to work. Rhett thinks the bottle is a game and he tries to "bite" the water.

You can subsitute the water aversion for another aversion like a loud noise. It's the other part of the training that's important. Allowing them to bark to alert you and then quieting them down when it's enough.

Allie will take a dip in the pool, in the shower and even in her water bowl. A spray bottle doesn't work to deter her barking....she just sits there and plays in it as I spray. Goofy dog. She hates being given a bath though.

Been using these cues for about 3 days...it works!! She is picking up on it so quickly!! We have some smart babies!!

:D Harry too! He sits with his mouth open, moving his head to try to catch it! We've tried the pennies in the can and also a short blast on a whistle! :note2:It was sometimes like I was practising for a band in our front room! 'Enough' accompanied by a sharp hand clap was what eventually worked for our Harry :) Sally + Harry x

lola is learning the term "Enough" pretty well, even without use of the bottle. I think i used the bottle two times. the sight of it is enough to quiet her down. though i do allow her to bark then ask "do u have to go outside" and if that prompts her darting around and we go out she always at least pee pees. so that is ok
