Teething STILL?? My Molli is 8 months old already, almost 9 and she still acts like shes teething. She chews on everything, we have taught her "leave it" but that only works for a little while. She also chews on our hands still, I tried the saying "ouch", the witdrawing attention and giving her a toy instead, nothing works. She mostly doesnt bite hard so it's not a huge deal but I just wonder if she should still be so mouthy at this age. Any other training tips I could try? |
What is Molli's bday? Mina is about the same age and she still thinks that the other dogs are chew toys. I took her for her first walk in the neighborhood today and she smelled EVERTHING and I think I said "drop it" about 10 times. 2bits didnt really stop chewing on stuff until he was 18months old. I dont remember how old the poodles were. |
January 12th. I guess its good to know were not alone ;) |
Yorkies have tiny mouth with sharp little teeth. When she nips say NO firmly and try pushing your hand into her mouth. When you pull back, her instinct is to bite harder. She thinks you are playing tug games. The other things you are doing is good too. You might want to add a spray water bottle to your tool kit. |

Mina is 2weeks older. She plays so hard with the other dogs. Nothing dainty about my dress and bow wearing lil girl. |
