Little stinker! We pretty much have a routine for our 7 month old Moses. He is gated in an area during the days that he doesn't go to day care. I was using potty pads with newspaper under them when we first started this routine. I then learned through YT that there are pad holders available! I was excited because Moses was moving the potty pads under the gate, which made him miss the pad when he pottied! Well, since I started using the potty pad holder, he won't use the potty pads. He pottied twice on my travertine tile yesterday! Do you think it could be that the pad feels and smells different without the newspaper under it? I was so irritated yesterday and he knew he was a bad boy. I set him on the pad and told him "this is where you potty." He has used potty pads for several months now, so he should know the routine...he's a smart little stink pot! |
Well, since no one really had any suggestions for me, a friend told me to tape the potty pads to the tile floor. I did that today and Moses used the potty pad. What is it about the holders that the pups don't seem to like? Anyway, I guess I will continue to tape the pads down so he can't move them around. On a happy note, I was on the computer tonight and Moses barked at me. I sort of ignored him, so he barked again. I asked "do you need to go potty?". He barked again, I took him out and he tinkled! Yay Moses! |
