My Yorkie is bitting
 
I have two Yorkies. Both are well socialized and go for walks every day where they see lots of people and other dogs. The problem I am having is with my female. She has become very aggressive towards children in the last few months. She's fine if I hold her and they pet her and they can even hold her if I pick her up first and hand her to them. The problem happens when kids are either walking by or come up to her she runs at them and bites them. The male Yorkie doesn't do this at all. He will bark at people because she is but otherwise is generally very friendly.
I'm very upset by this and don't know what I need to do to stop her from being so aggressive towards children. The other day my neighbour, who is an adult, was walking in her own backyard and Hannah ran over and bit her leg. So now I'm wondering if this could happen to just about anyone. How do I stop her bad behavoir?!

Oh my Gosh. I have never had one of my Yorkies suddenly start biteing. I hope someone has some ideas about this and can help you.

my youngest female yorkie (2 years old) starting bitting about 1 year ago. It doesn't matter who it is. She is fine if I hold her and they pet her but if someone leans over the railing outside or the baby gate she bites them. I have no idea how to correct this. It's just when someone leans over the gate or railing. I know they shouldn't do that but I have a father that thinks the dog is in the wrong but it reality it's both party. They shouldn't put their hands in and my dog shouldn't bite

Always in temperament (sudden changes) rule out physical issues first; that means a visit to the vet.
In the meantime she can't be trusted off lead and must be supervised by you at all times when outside the house.

She must be leash corrected quickly at the instant she even attempts to go to bite. and rewarded if she doesn't attempt any biting upon meeting any strangers.

You will need to setup some practice situations with your Adult friends to reward good behaviour (no bite) and discipline bad behaviour. Beyond leash correction there are "time outs" where the dog is crated or xpenned or placed in another room away from human companionship for a short period of time. And then you try again.
