Male mounting male puppy.
 
Can anyone tell me is it possible that my 2 yr. old male Yorkie have intercourse with my 4 month old male Yorkie. He keeps mounting him, and I'm not sure if this is possible? :confused: Don't know what to do.....

It's a dominance thing. They aren't actually trying to "do" anything other than establish dominance. My dogs have done that as I have two boys, I just gently push the one off that is doing the mounting and say no.

If your 4 mo old has a vulva it is possible...otherwise it will never happen.
Neutering should solve your problem...both ot them..

I agree 100% that both should be neutered but it doesn't necessarily mean the problem will be solved. Both of my male dogs were neutered before they were even introduced to one another and they sometimes still try to mount each other even now and again and they are both 4 years old. Smokey was neutered before 6 months (with someone else) and Chip was neutered around 8 months. Neutering will definitely help though.

Both of my males (Bogey and Doodlebug) are also neutered and will try to hump each other. Doodlebug will also try to hump Pebbles who wants nothing to do with that nonsense. :rolleyes: Bogey even humps the air when the play gets too rough. There are some days I was want to :panic: But it always happens during play and I try to just distract and redirect them with either a toy or treat. If your boys are not both neutered my suggestion is that you do this since it will lead to marking inside you home.

Same with females...you just never know, but neutered males are the best of pets EVER!!!!

A vulva is a part of a female's anatomy. Your males do not have one, therefore will not be able to "tie".

Thank you for clearing that up, I was kinda confused. I thought it was a female part, but wasent sure if i was missing something :)
