Hey everyone, ok, so I just got Benji, yesterday, he is about 4-5 years old and he is a Yorkie (Or so the person I got him from said) mix. Do you think you have any idea what he could be???

Thanks! I love him, he is great! Although, he gets aggressive towards dogs when he see or smells food. When he has toys and growls at people and dogs. Any ideas on how to help change that??

He looks like a yorkie maybe silky mix. Very cute congrats.

He looks like a Yorkie to me, very cute. When my Hobbes would get aggressive towards the other 3 we would put him on the deck in timeout. He could see us through the glass door and I could see him but would ignore him. It would only last about 5 minutes if that long. He has settled down a lot and all we have to do if he "bullies" is say "do you want to go in timeout" he knows exactly what we are talking about.

Are you sure that he is mixed. Cant tell from the picture.. to me he looks full Yorkie. He's very cute..

I didn't mean it in a bad way that I thought he was a mix,,, he is really cute.. what a face!! He has yorkie hair.. I was just looking at the ears and the face was a little fuller...

Watch out for the food and toy aggression. Just correct like the others have said. Was he around other dogs before? It may just take time to adjust to you.

I know you will have a lot of fun and love him bunches!!

What a beautiful dog!

His face reminds me of another breed but I can't put my finger on it.

There is most definitely yorkie in there.

When mine are puppies, I work with them using their food and their treats.
I pick them up and we play with them. I always give them back. You will just need to constantly work with him. There is probably a reason why he is aggressive that you will never know. Just get down on the floor and offer him bites of his food, pick up his plate, all the while making a game out of it, so that he doesn't feel threatened that you are trying to take his food. Play with his treats. Make up a game and shoot them across the floor. You want to reinforce that you are not a threat when it comes to his food or treats.

He looks like a Yorkie to me. What makes you say he is mixed ? Yorkies come in all shapes & sizes & some have floppy ears & some have stickin up ears. But I would say He Is a Yorkie. He is Very Cute too.

I was told by the woman that I got him from that she thought he was a Yorkie mix. He didn't look like a full Yorkie to me because of his ears, but again, this is my first Yorkie. But thanks for the info everyone!! :)
