Ugggh not again My baby keeps tearing up the peepads!!! I thought at first that he didn't want to pee and poop on the same pad. But I placed a fresh pad down and 2 hours later he bites and tears it up, while cleaning up the mess I noticed he only pee-pee on it once. Sooooo frustrated what to do what to do  |
Get washable ones. |
Have you tried washable pads? How about supervised potty breaks? I know the second is a little harder to do if the pup has free roam, but it would only be long enough for him to understand a pee pad is not a toy. It is a place for him to do his "business." |
I know they can be expensive but you save a ton on the long run. Years ago, I scored big at the goodwill. They had a ton of hospital size pee pads in great shape for 2 bucks each. I bought them all. Still in great shape and going strong. I have seen them at second hand stores often. Great buy. |
Do you put the pad in one of the snap down frames to hold it in place? When I brought Zhoie home, she loved to go after the pad. One day of that and I bought the holder at Petco, she never bothered it again. At 5 mos she became strictly an outside potty girl, all on her own, YAY. |
When Sammy was a baby he used to tear up the paper pee pads too. I think that when they are young, they think it's something to play with. Now I used the washable ones. |

I didn't know that a holder existed!! Just found one online at Petco so I'm going instore to get it tomorrow. Thanks! |
Thanks everyone. I'm thinking he does think it's something to play with, he doesn't roam the whole house he is confined to the dining room with peepad on one side and crate/food bowl on the other with the table in the middle. I'm going to look into the washable pads. I will find the YT member that sale's them. Is it hard to switch them to washable pads? Since he is on joke time I don't want him to start potting on anything cloth that might be on the floor. |
Washable pads work great for us. I got mine from Ryan (RDB911) at www.newpuppypads.com  |
Washable Belly Bands by T. Bumpkins & Co. and Doggie Pee Pads I know Cathy has washable pee pads. The video she has on the page is dead on too!:p |
